I’m Ellen Z. Wright, the designer behind Apartment Rehab NYC. I create full-service, wellness-focused interiors for busy New Yorkers who want a beautiful, functional home without personally managing every decision, vendor, and delivery along the way.
Whether you’re moving into a new apartment, renovating a kitchen or bathroom, refreshing a dated space, or furnishing an entire home, I guide you through the process from concept to completion with a focus on communication, organization, and exceptional service.

So I design around how you actually live.
Natural light, comfortable and ergonomic seating, smart storage, and floor plans that flow. Every choice is made with both beauty and your daily wellbeing in mind.

To me, luxury isn’t about spending the most. It’s about a home that works beautifully for your lifestyle, sourced thoughtfully and kept to a budget that works for your finances.

How the process works
I’ve built a clear, organized process so you always know what’s happening and what comes next. You stay focused on your busy life, I handle all the details.
- Conceptual design: I gather measurements and photos, then present 3D renderings so we align on style and layout before a single product is chosen.
- Detailed design: We fine-tune every selection on your private client dashboard, where you can approve items, leave notes anytime, and watch a budget tracker keep everything on course.
- Execution: I coordinate vendors, track deliveries, solve problems behind the scenes, and oversee your white-glove installation day so the finished space looks exactly as planned.

My design services are a flat rate per room, so you’re never nickel-and-dimed or blindsided by hidden fees. As a designer, I can also access trade discounts and pass savings along to you where I can.
